Museums are cultural institutions that provide museum services, within the scope of public services. Their aim is with the purpose of preserving, researching, restoring and showing the public with aim to educate and enjoying of culturale heritageand. For the last decade, modern technologies have been dictating different cultural and behavioral patterns, therefore the issues on how to attract visitors to the museum pose new challenges. Besides different marketing tools that are used to encourage visitors to attend the museum, it is necessary to maintain their interest at maximum level during their visit, in order for them to come back. Today’s perspective on museums from the visitor’s point of view is also one of the points in this research. New challenges have been placed upon museum services in order to adapt to new technological accomplishments, however museum as an institution must not be neglected. Due to the current situation caused by COVID-19 pandemic, the urge for new, modern technologies occurs, in order for the museums to interact with their audience. Therefore, I used opinion polls and interviews as methods to show reactions of visitors to the new type of visit, the virtual walk. Also, at the example of Samobor museum I showed the effort of employees to retain visitors, as well as attract new ones at the same time, by adopting modern trends.
