Sažetak | Cilj ovog rada je predstaviti potencijal stvaranja i korištenja Web usluga temeljenih na Managed Service Provider (MSP) infrastrukturi. U tu svrhu u uvodu su definirani osnovni pojmovi: Managed Services (MS), Managed Service Provider (MSP), Računalstvo u oblaku (Cloud Computing), Javni oblak (Public Cloud) kao i modeli pružanja web usluga. Obzirom da se u radu opisuju web usluge temeljene na infrastrukturi, u uvodu je i sažeti opis tvrtke Amazon Web Services koja je na samom svjetskom vrhu u pružanju web usluga baziranih na infrastrukturi. Prvi dio rada opisuje infrastrukturu, njene komponente i potrebne preduvjete za stvaranje kvalitetnih, sigurnih i pouzdanih web usluga koje su opisane u glavnom dijelu rada. Slijedi opis područja primjene i korisnika Web usluga. Time se želi naglasiti i opisati brzorastuća potreba za uslugama koje su u radu obrađene, kao i široki profil korisnika uključen u konzumaciju spomenutih web servisa i usluga. U glavnom dijelu rada se ulazi u dubinu i širinu Web usluga i alata temeljenih na infrastrukturi. Preko konkretnog primjera, odnosno najvećeg pružatelja oblačnih usluga na svijetu – tvrtke Amazon Web Services, opisuje se nekoliko njihovih najznačajnijih web usluga i alata koje su već unazad deset godina u širokoj primjeni kod nekih od najpoznatijih tvrtki na svijetu. Tu će se opisati najznačajnije karakteristike tih usluga: pouzdanost, visoka dostupnost, sigurnost i financijska učinkovitost. Nakon opisanih web usluga i alata slijedi opis prednosti ali i nedostataka koje karakteriziraju računalstvo u oblaku. Objektivno se prikazuje napredak u dosadašnjem računalstvu u oblaku, svladani izazovi kao i trenutni nedostaci odnosno budući izazovi koje računalstvo u oblaku još čekaju, kako bi usluge i korištenje ovakvog vida tehnologije bili još dostupniji, pouzdaniji, sigurniji i prihvaćeniji. Slijedi zaključak izveden na temelju razrađene teme. |
Sažetak (engleski) | The idea of this paper is to present the potential of creating and using Web services based on Managed Service Provider (MSP) infrastructure. For this purpose, the introduction defines the basic terms: Managed Services (MS), Managed Service Provider (MSP), Cloud Computing, Public Cloud, as well as web service delivery models. As the paper describes infrastructure-based web services, the introduction introduces a concise description of Amazon Web Services, a company which is at the top of the world in providing infrastructure-based web services. The first part of the paper describes the infrastructure, its components, and the necessary prerequisites for creating quality, secure, and reliable web services that are described in the main body of the paper. The following is a description of the scope and users of Web services. This aims to highlight and describe the rapidly growing need for services that have been described in this paper, as well as the broad profile of users involved in the consumption of mentioned web services. The main part of the paper deals with the depth and breadth of infrastructure-based Web services and tools. Through a specific example, that is, the largest cloud service provider in the world - Amazon Web Services, several of their most important web services and tools are described, the ones that have been widely used by some of the most renowned companies in the world over the last ten years. This chapter describes most significant features of these services: reliability, high availability, security and financial efficiency. The web services and tools described are followed by a description of the advantages and disadvantages that characterize cloud computing. The progress in cloud computing has been presented objectively, as well as the overcome challenges and also current deficiencies and future challenges that cloud computing has yet to overcome, to make services and use of this type of technology even more accessible, reliable, secure and accepted.
