In a brief review of this thesis, the starting points are certainly quality and competitiveness. These two terms are interdependent which we can see in the introductory part that leads to the conclusion that there is no competitiveness without quality and vice versa. The term quality, as an everyday use term, is explained throughout history in 6 phases. For a better understanding of this term, it is important to have a good understanding of the eight basic principles of quality management. ISO organization acts in order to establish standards on the international level. When it comes to quality assurance, the so-called PDCA circle is essential and it includes next steps: planning, executing, checking and acting. On the other hand, when it comes to competitiveness, Porter's diamond model is infallible. It defines four groups of factors which affect competitiveness. These are factor terms, demand conditions, supporting and related industries, as well as strategy, structure and rivalry. In addition to the Porter diamond model, his model of five competitive advantages is also important. Last year, Croatia was at the very bottom of global competitiveness. We are witnesses that Croatia's lack of competitiveness is not caused by the lack of natural beauty that we put at the forefront of this country's quality, but by the lack of measures needed to advance on the performane scale. A good example of quality and competitiveness is certainly the hospitality and tourism company Turisthotel d.d. Apart from numerous awards and recognitions, Turisthotel's business is recognized for its constant investment in quality. This is why this company is at the very top of competitiveness on our territories and serves as a model from which it can more than clearly be concluded that only by working on ourselves it is possible to achieve the desired posizion on performance scale.
