Abstract
Ugostiteljska djelatnost predstavlja iznimnu važnost u RH uz turizam kao jedan od najvažnijih gospodarskih grana kojim se ostvaruje velik izvor prihoda za državu. Obavljanje ugostiteljske djelatnosti regulirano je Zakonom o ugostiteljskoj djelatnosti. Osnovna definicija ugostiteljstva je priprema i usluživanje jela i pića, te pružanje usluge smještaja. Cilj ugostiteljske djelatnosti je pružiti uslugu potrošaču uz određenu cijenu kako bi zadovoljili njegovu potražnju. Ugostiteljske usluge obavljaju se u zakonom određenim, uređenim i opremljenim objektima nazvanim ugostiteljski objekti. Zbog širine različitosti ponude pružanja usluga ugostiteljska djelatnost zapošljava veliki broj ljudi. Poslovanje ugostiteljske djelatnosti posljednjih godinu dana uvelike je ugroženo zbog pandemije korona virusa. Zatvaranje ugostiteljskih objekata ostavilo je veliki trag na ugostiteljsku djelatnost, a time i na turizam i izvor prihoda RH. Dozvoljen djelomičan rad ugostiteljskih objekata sa otvorenim terasama i dostavom hrane nije dovoljan. Ugostitelji su prilagodili svoje usluge novonastaloj situaciji, država im je pomogla isplaćivanjem potpora za zadržavanje radnika i nadoknadom fiksnih troškova ali smatram da to nije dovoljno da bi ugostitelji opstali bez poteškoća.
Abstract (english)
Hospitality industry represents the utmost importance for Republic of Croatia along with tourism as one of the most important economic branches which generates a large source of income for the state. The performance of the hospitality industry is regulated by the Law on Hospitality Activity. The main definition of hospitality is preparing and serving food and beverages and providing accommodation services. The main goal of the hospitality industry is providing services to the consumer at a certain price in order to meet the customer's demand. Hospitality services are performed in legally determined, arranged and equipped facilities called hospitality facilities. Due to wide range of supply diversity in providing services, hospitality industry employs numerous people. The hospitality business has been severely compromised over the past year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The closure of hospitality facilities has left a big mark on the hospitality industry and thereby on tourism and on a source of income for the Republic of Croatia. Partially permitting the work to hospitality facilities with open terraces and food deliveries is not enough. Caterers have adapted their services to the new situation, the state has contributed with paying financial supports and reimbursing fixed costs, but in my opinion that is not enough for the caterers to survive without difficulties.
