The topic is the opening of a j.d.o.o. with the support of the state in which we will deal with the main concepts related to entrepreneurship as well as the legal forms of companies and the procedures for dreaming them. We will develop the main components of the business plan and how to write them correctly and explore what incentives are available to encourage the development of small business in the Republic of Croatia. This paper is primarily based on how to facilitate the start of an independent business in the Republic of Croatia and how the entrepreneur would successfully develop the idea and be able to successfully start his entrepreneurial venture with the help of financial resources from the state. We will also examine several entrepreneurial infrastructures for small business development that help the entrepreneur achieve his ultimate goal. We will also look at what are the entrepreneurial opportunities and pitfalls and what items must be taken into account in starting your own business, but in the end we conclude that starting your own business is not complicated and is actually quite simple if you follow the steps required to start.
