Abstract
Poduzetnik je osoba, pravna ili fizička, žena ili muškarac koja posluje na vlastiti rizik. Poduzetnik isporučuje dobra ili obavlja usluge sa krajnjim ciljem da za sebe ostvari nekakav profit. Poduzetništvo predstavlja dio nastojanja čovjeka da pomiče granice koje mu postavlja okolina. Mala i srednja poduzeća čine srž svih zdravih ekonomija, te svaka uspješna država nastoji poticati malo i srednje poduzetništvo u kojem se najčešće i susreću žene kao poduzetnice. Žene često osnivaju poduzeća, prije svega radi pronalaska izlaza iz nezaposlenosti, no nije uvijek lako. Rijetko koja poduzetnica je osnovala tvrtku jer je planirala i za to se školovala. Rodni stereotipi, nemogućnost obrazovanja, nejednaka plaća za isti rad te nedostatak podrške za žene sa dva posla (obitelj i profesija) su česte prepreke na koje nailaze žene na svome putu. U nastavku ću nastojati prikazati sliku žene poduzetnice kroz različite stilove, u različitim djelatnostima, sa različitim preprekama, te nadasve kroz različita vremenska razdoblja koja su nosila svoja obilježja.
Abstract (english)
An entrepreneur is a person, either legal or physical, woman or man, who conducts business at their own risk. An entrepreneur supplies goods or performs services with the ultimate goal of making a profit. Entrepreneurship is part of human endeavor to push the boundaries set by the environment. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the core of all healthy economies, and every successful country strives to encourage small and medium entrepreneurship, where women entrepreneurs are most often encountered. Women often start businesses primarily to find a way out of unemployment, but it is not always easy. Rarely does a female entrepreneur establish a company because she planned and was educated for it. Gender stereotypes, the inability to access education, unequal pay for the same work, and the lack of support for women balancing two jobs (family and profession) are common obstacles women face on their path. In the following sections, I will attempt to depict the image of the female entrepreneur through different styles, in various industries, with different obstacles, and above all, through different time periods that have their own characteristics.
