The amount of data that organizations generate have sharply increased as organizations have evolved. The vast amounts of data that organizations generate without a business intelligence system would not be possible to analyze quickly and adequately to make precise strategic and business decisions relevant to business. The purpose of a business intelligence system is not to create a larger amount of information, but to generate quality information from the internal and external data that organizations possess. Business intelligence tools have evolved over time from narrowly focused queries and reports to systems for the entire organization. Thanks to the development of mobile devices and the mobile network, business mobility has been enabled. Business mobility organizations in the long run increase profits, employee satisfaction and end users. The application of business intelligence systems on mobile devices is called mobile business intelligence. Thanks to new generations of mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, users have access to business data anytime, anywhere. Access to this information helps users to make more precise decisions that would otherwise be based solely on intuition and / or previous experience. In addition to generating timely information, an essential aspect of mobile business intelligence is data security on mobile devices. Mobile business intelligence application vendors address the security issue by integrating authorization systems into the applications themselves. The topic of this paper is the application of business intelligence on mobile devices, which we call mobile business intelligence, while the aim is to describe the business intelligence system and its application on mobile devices, and point out its specifics, advantages and disadvantages in use.
