Management in education is: reconciling human, physical and financial resources to achieve the goals of education as an activity. This entails applying new management knowledge to an educational institution as an innovative, lifelong learning organization. The principles and methods of management in education should be developed, which will be based on the specifics of education as a social process and the goal of such management that increasing the efficiency of work results in an increase in knowledge. The organization of school staff has an important role to play in managing the school. School staff management is a strategy for recruiting, utilizing, enhancing and retaining staff. Planning identifies changes that need to be made to the school in order to achieve its goals, and this is led by a comparison of the current state of the school with its desired state in the future. The goals are first and foremost the education that the students of the school will learn in their three- or four-year education for their future and the education and behavior of the students in their education. Changes include actions such as reducing or increasing the number of employees and providing training to existing employees. Employee recruitment is a process that identifies needs for employees and identifies potential candidates for vacancies. Recruitment of employees also involves introducing potential candidates to the jobs they could compete for and the very position of the school that job carries them. Employee selection involves the process of choosing between employed candidates for one or more jobs. The selection of candidates starts with the job requirements and requires the candidate who best meets those requirements. This paper describes the Engineering Technical School Osijek and explains its organizational structure, working conditions, activity and employment in the school. The school has been on the rise since its inception in terms of school modernization and access to computer science, so that students are educated who finish school and are ready for the job market. Since the school, like other companies, does not operate in this way, I can say that the school is well organized and run by the principal. There is certainly room for progress and better student outcomes in their education and competitions. Of course, if the existing organization is promoted, with the work of all school staff, everyone in their area of responsibility.
