Abstract
Ovaj rad nastoji odgovoriti na brojna postavljena pitanja kroz svijet bankarske teorije i prakse. Nastoji predočiti banke iz različitih perspektiva radi cjelovita pogleda na bankarstvo kao dio cjelokupne ekonomije, ali i razumijevanje bankarske teorije. Uloga bankarstva za ekonomiju je značajna, a stanje u ekonomiji jasno se odražava i na poslovanje banaka. Cilj ovog rada je približavanje banaka čitatelju, odnosno razumijevanje poslovanja banaka, te njenog napretka od vremena postanka do danas. Banke i bankarsko poslovanje u suvremenim gospodarskim uvjetima ulaze u sve segmente života. Svojim financijskim i poslovnim aktivnostima utječu na cjelokupne novčane tijekove, ali i na likvidnost gospodarstva pri čemu moraju osigurati stabilnost gospodarskog sustava i prihvatljiv ekonomski rast, kao preduvjet uspješne ekonomije u cjelini.
Abstract (english)
This paper seeks to answer a number of questions raised throughout the world of banking theory and practice. It seeks to present banks from different perspectives for a holistic view of banking as part of the overall economy, but also an understanding of banking theory. The role of banking for the economy is significant, and the situation in the economy is clearly reflected in banks' operations. The objective of this paper is to bring banks closer to the reader, that is, to understand the operations of banks, and its progress from its inception to the present. In today's economic environment, banks and banking enter into all segments of life. Their financial and business activities affect the overall cash flow, but also the economy's liquidity, whereby they must ensure the stability of the economic system and acceptable economic growth, as a prerequisite for a successful economy as a whole.
