Abstract
Ubrzan razvoj znanosti i tehnologije tijekom 21. stoljeća utjecao je na kompletno čovječanstvo pa tako i na upravljanje projektima, odnosno projektni menadžment. U tvrtkama se razvila potreba za stvaranjem što inovativnijih i fleksibilnijih poslovnih procesa što je dovelo do konstantnog razvoja projektnog menadžmenta kao relativno nove discipline. Novi koncepti upravljanja podijeljeni su u više elemenata koji se međusobno nadopunjavaju i čine kompletnu cjelinu, tj. projekt. Svaki projekt sam po sebi je jedinstven te ima svoj životni ciklus sa fazama razvoja koje definiraju vrste radnih aktivnosti koje treba odraditi kako bi se došlo do konačnog cilja. Upravljanje projektima neophodno je i u privatnom i u javnom sektoru zbog čega je sve veći broj certificiranih projektnih menadžera. Republika Hrvatska kao punopravna članica, aktivno sudjeluje u programima Europske unije iz kojih su joj osigurani određeni iznosi bespovratnih sredstava, a sve u svrhu što ujednačenijeg gospodardkog razvoja među članicama.
Abstract (english)
The rapid development of science and technology during the 21st century has had an impact on the entire humanity and thus on project management se well. Companies have developed a need to create more innovative and flexible business processes, which has led the constant development of project management as a relatively new discipline. The new management concepts are divided into several elements that complement each other and form a complete unit, i.e., the project. Each project is unique in itself and has its own life cycle with development phases that define the types of work activities that need to be done in order to reach the final goal. Project management is essential in both the private and public sectors, which is why there is an increasing number of certified project managers. As a full member of the European Union, the Republic of Croatia actively participates in EU programmes which provide the country with certain amount of guaranteed grants, all for the purpose of uniform economic development amog the member countries.
